Your Helsdon Hammock is designed to last for many years with proper care and maintenance. Follow these instructions to avoid degrading the materials and shortening the lifespan. Washing
- Spot-clean with cool or lukewarm water and a damp cloth or sponge
- Do not machine wash
- Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, fabric softeners, or stain removers
- Do not wring out the fabric

Drying
- Hang to dry completely
- Do not machine dry or tumble dry
- Do not iron
- Do not apply excessive heat, such as radiators, blow driers or open flames

Stain Removal
- For smudges or marks, wipe with a damp cloth
- For sticky residue, wipe gently with a soft cloth or sponge and a mild soap
- Do not rub fabric excessively
- Rinse the area with clean water and wipe with a damp cloth to remove residue

Storage
- Ensure all components are completely dry before storing in the carry bag
- Store in a dark, dry place
- Do not store in areas that experience extreme heat or cold
- Do not stack heavy items on top

Maintenance
- Periodically check the bolts on the ends of the spreader bars and hand-tighten when needed
- Exposure to UV from the sun will degrade fabric. When not in use, it should be stored appropriately
- Periodically inspect all components for damage or excessive wear
